E. A. Deiterman, Age 78, Dies Edward A. Deiterman, 78, of West died Sunday evening in West Community hospital. Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Monday at Aderhold Funeral Home in West. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption, Rev. George Doskocil as celebrant. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery in West. Mr. Deiterman was a native of Tours and was born March 12, 1899. He married Agatha Uptmor in Tours in 1920 and the couple moved to West that same year. Mr. Deiterman went to work for West Bank and Trust Co. and later became vice president and director of the firm. He was a member of Knights of Columbus Council No. 2305 and was a past grand knight and financial secretary. He was a trustee of the organization at the time of his death. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption and served as an usher for many years. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Adolph (Dorothy) Havel and Mrs. Emil (Pearl) Fridel of West; five brothers, Albert Deiterman of Rialto, Calif., Louis Deiterman of Temple, C.J. Deiterman of West, Joe Deiterman of McGregor and Wilfred Deiterman of Spring Valley; three sisters, Mrs. Angeline Pareya of West, Mrs. Adaline Altus of Sheridan, Ore., and Mrs. Emma Holecek of San Jose, Calif.; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Active pallbearers: Grady Langford, Harry Lichnovsky, Dalton Deiterman, Richard Uptmor, Ted Uptmor, and Frank Hlavaty. Honorary pallbearers: Employees and Directors of West Bank & Trust and Members of Council No. 2305 Knights of Columbus.
