Theresa Wimmer was born in Peigen, Bavaria, Germany. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Death Claims Pioneer Resident of West Mrs. Teresa Bezdek, age 69, pioneer resident of this community, passed away at her home near here at 6 a.m. Monday. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Catholic church, Rev. E. J. Polcak officiating. Intermant was in the Catholic cemetery. Mrs. Bezdek was born in Europe. She came to America and this community with her parents when she was eleven years of age and had lived here since that time. Survivors are: one daughter, Mrs. Charles Dvoracek, West; two foster children, Mrs. Jim Hlavaty of West and Miss Ida Slovak of San Antonio; three brothers, H. A. Wimmer of Hermaleigh, C. J. Wimmer of Muenster, Joe R. Wimmer of Burlington; three sisters, Mrs. Frank Berger of Elk, Mrs. W. J. Schroeder of Windthorst, Mrs. Joe Schwirtlich of Robstown; ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Her mother died when she was only two years old. Tracie lived with Frank and Theresa (Wimmer) Bezdek in West before her marriage to Jim Hlavaty. She is referred to as a foster child in Theresa (Wimmer) Bezdek's obituary. Ida married James Lawrence Cavenaugh on October 12, 1955 in San Antonio, Bexar County, Texas.
