Bio
Charles Bravenec, 68, of Rogers died Tuesday in a Temple Hospital after losing his battle with cancer. Funeral will be at 10:00 A.M. Thursday in the First Methodist Church in Rogers with the Rev. Dan Bruce and the Rev. Albert Michalik officiating. Burial will be in the Seaton Cemetery. Mr. Bravenec was a carpenter, a member of Carpenters Local 1971, a member of the R.V.O.S. and the Z.C.B.J. fraternal lodges and of the Rogers Methodist Church. He also spent many years as a farmer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jan Bravenec and Mary Mucha Bravenec Kocich, brothers John, Anton, Joseph, Emil, and Jerry. He is survived by his wife, Victoria (Kotrla) of Rogers, two sons, Dr. Edward V. Bravenec of Seabrook, Texas, and Anton F. Bravenec of Temple; two daughters, Gladys Howard of Tyler, and Nelda Roessler of Belton. He is also survived by a brother, Frank Bravenec of Temple, and a sister, Mrs. Tom (Albina) Mikeska of Temple. Survivors also include seven grandchildren, Susan Howard of Tyler, Randall Roessler, Raymond Roessler, Rene Roessler of Belton, Beth Anne Bravenec, Amy Bravenec of Temple and David Bravenec of Seabrook.
