Bio

Josef was born in Ublo, Moravia, in house #27 to Jan and Marie Bravenec. He came to the United States with his mother, Marie (Mucha) Bravenec and his brother, Anton Bravenec, and half-brother, John Bravenec on April 19, 1900 on the ship Halle to Galveston, Texas. While on the ship, he became ill and the illness resulted in partial blindness and ill health for the remainder of his life.
