Bio

George WILKE was a son of Gottlieb WILKE and his 2nd wife, Marie "Mattie" MINUTH . He was a farmer. Obit-Gonzales Inquirer Apr. 27, 1922 George Wilke Succumbs to Abcess on the Brain George Wilke, oldest son of Mrs. Mary Wilke, living about nine miles out on the Stieren road, died Wednesday afternoon at 6 o'clock at the Holmes Hospital where he was under treatment for an abscess on the brain. It seems he had been troubled with this affection for some time, and other treatment proving unavailing underwent an operation for the removal of the abscess which had become vert serious. Surviving him are his widowed mother and several brothers and sisters, Mr. Wilke was only 19 years of age. His death is indeed sad, and a great blow to his family. The funeral was held Thursday afternoon with interment in the City cemetery Rev. R. A. Schmidt, pastor of the Lutheran church , conducted the services. He was not married.
