Obituary Gonzales Inquirer June 15, 1972 Wilke Services Held Today At 3 Funeral servIces were held Monday, June 12 at 3 p.m. from the Seydler-Hill chapel for Richard Wilke, who died in Gonzales at 8:45 a.m. Sunday. The Rev. Allen Collins, pastor of the First Lutheran church, officiated at the final rites with burial taking place in Gonzales Memorial Park. Mr. Wilke was born on July 15, 1883, in Seguin, the son of Gottlieb and Christine Frankenhauser Wilke, natives of Germany. He was married to Olga Grauke on August 22, 1914, and at the time of his death was living at 108 Darst Street. He was a retired rancher and farmer and a member of the First Lutheran church. Survivors are his widow; six daughters, Mrs. Fred (Rosie Mae) Alex of Ottine; Mrs. Walter (Alvina) Schneider of Victoria; Mrs. Annie Mae Curtis, Mrs. Robert (Olga) Schauman, Mrs. Willie (Hattie) Breitschopf, Mrs. Joe (Emma) Breitschopf, all of Gonzales; four sons, Gus of Gonzales, Gottieb of Austin, Edward of Edinburg, Walker Wilke of Cuero; one brother, Gottlieb Wilke of Brenham; three sisters, Mrs. Elsie Brown of San Antonio; Mrs. Louise Gilson of California; Mrs. Margaret Tuesper of Oregon ; 22 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren . Richard WILKE was a son of Gottlieb WILKE and his first wife, Christina TRENKELBACH. He was married to Olga Emelia (GRAUKE) WILKE .
