Sharon Marak Uptmore, age 42, of Rt. 2, West (Tours), passed away Wednesday evening, September 5, 1990 in a Waco hospital. Rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Friday in St. Martin’s Catholic Church, Tours. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Martin’s Catholic Church, with Rev. Isidore Rozycki as celebrant. Burial followed in St. Martin’s Cemetery, Tours. Mrs. Uptmore was born December 13, 1947 in Waco and had lived in the Tours-West area most of her life. She graduated from West High School in 1966 and Hill Jr. College in 1968. She was a teacher’s aide at West Elementary School and an Officer of the West P.T.A., a member of the Catholic Daughters of America Court #829. Mrs. Uptmore served on the Parish Council of St. Martin’s Catholic Church and also served as the CCD Coordinator. She is survived by her husband, Alan Uptmore of Tours; two sons, Clint and Ray Uptmore, both of Tours; one daughter, Amy Uptmore of Tours; two brothers, Harry Lee Marak and Marty Marak, both of West; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry N. Marak of West; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Ted Uptmore, Jr., John David Uptmore, Brian Uptmore, Tim Uptmore, Chad Marak and David Uptmore, Jr. Honorary pallbearers were all nieces and nephews.
