Bio
Daughter of Felix & Alousa (Hirsch) Nickman. Grew up near Pleasanton, attended Johnson School. Married: April 19, 1933, to Bernard Eckhout in Pleasanton. He preceded her in death. With husband, farmed in the Sartoria Township area Activities: member of the church, the Altar Society and the Prairie Rose Club; enjoyed sewing, embroidering and crocheting; made baby blankets for her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Survivors include her sons, Jerome and his wife, Jeanette, of Pleasanton and James and his wife, Barbara, of Amherst; daughters, Neomi Hascall of Bellevue, Mary Kenney and her husband, Perry, of Amherst, Bernadine Roth and her husband, Bill, of Rialto, Calif., and Catherine Daake and her husband, Dennis, of Elm Creek; daughter-in-law, Eva Eckhout of Amherst; 31 grandchildren; 66 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. Was preceded in death by her husband; son, John; son-in-law, Dean Hascall; one sister; and seven brothers.
