Mrs. Walter Pinkert, Westphalia Pioneer Buried on May 15 Funeral services were held for Mrs. Walter Pinkert at the Church of the Visitation in Westphalia, Monday, May 15 at 9 a.m. Father George Rabroker officiated at mass and Msgr. R.T. Schertz, cousin of the deceased, gave the message. Graveside rites were held by Father Edward Rabroker, with Father George Rabroker assisting. Both are nephews of the deceased. Burial was in the church cemetery with Nicholson Hoelscher Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Pinkert was a pioneer citizen of the Westphalia community where she was born on Nov. 21, 1898, and lived until January of 1945 when she moved to west Texas to make her home with her children. She died May 13, 1961 at 5:40 a.m. at the age of 72 years. Survivors include two sons, Ben Pinkert and Edward Pinkert, both of Levelland; one daughter, Mrs. Frank Sehon of Lubbock; a brother, Ben Rabroker of Westphalia; a sister Mrs. Albert Pinkert of Slaton; 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were nephews of the deceased, Lawrence Pinkert, Robert Pinkert, Frank H. Sehon, Ray Rabroker, Edward J. Pinkert, and Henry Pinkert.
