CHILDRESS - Iva Lorene Coats Sledge, 97, died Tuesday, June 2, 2009. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Childress Church of Christ with Trey Morgan and Dr. Mike Henderson officiating. Burial will be in Childress Cemetery by Johnson Funeral Home. Mrs. Sledge was born Feb. 7, 1912, in Childress County. She was a homemaker. Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Brandt of Childress; a son, Joe Don Sledge of Yukon, Okla.; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
