Millard County Progress 5/08/1936 MRS. METTIE CHRISTENSON TALBOT DIES AT HOME IN LYNNDYL Mrs. Mettie Christensen Talbot, 60, died Tuesday, April 28, 1936 of cancer. She was born December 17, 1875 in Oak City, the daughter of Anthony and Castine Lovell Christensen. She had resided in Lynndyl for the past four years. She was a faithful member of the LDS Church and an active Relief Society worker. Surviving are her husband, Joseph E. Talbot and eight sons and daughters; Sessel Talbot of Stone, Idaho; Charles and Arvil Talbot, Burley, Idaho; Mrs. Wm. Palmer, Rupert, Idaho; Mrs. Edith Woodbury, Lava Hot Springs, Idaho; Mrs. Edna Mecham, Joseph, Utah; Harvey Talbot and Lena Talbot, Lynndyl, Utah. Also 39 grandchildren and one great-grandchild and the following brothers and sisters; Christian, John and Joseph Christensen, Aurora, Utah; Edward and Lorenzo Christensen, Delta, Utah; Willard and Albert Christensen, Oak City; Mrs. Silvia Christensen and Mrs. Pearl Anderson, Oasis, Utah; and Mrs. Hilda Wright, Hinckley. Funeral services were held Thursday, April 30, in the Lynndyl Ward Chapel. Burial was in the Oak City cemetery. Thanks to Find A Grave contributor Karen Shurtz for providing this obituary.
