Eicholtz Funeral rec b 21 Mar 1871, Tenn; d 30 Jan 1921, Abilene; father Andew Derrick (b Tenn) mother Julia Wininer (b Tenn). Mr. John W. Derrick, age 49, died at the Abilene Hospital Sunday afternoon. Survived by his wife and six children. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at one o'clock at the home and at two o'clock from the Buckeye Church. He resided on a farm northeast of Abilene. Abilene Daily Chronicle, January 31, 1921.
