Edna Marie Stewart Miller , 96 years of age, departed this life on Monday, May 4th, 2009. Edna was born in Somerset, Kentucky on October 28th, 1912, daughter of the late Presley and Evelyn Alexander Stewart. Edna was a seamstress and she worked for Hughes Department Store, and she was a member of the Clay Hill Baptist Church, and early in life she performed on the radio with the Sacred Heart Singers Quartet. Edna was survived by one son, James P. "Jimmy" Miller; one grandson, John P. Miller; one brother, Murrell Stewart; several nephews and nieces; and a host of other family and friends who mourn her passing. She was preceded in death by her parents, Presley Stewart and Evelyn Stewart; husband, John Samuel Miller. whom she married on September 5th, 1936 and who departed this life on October 18th, 1996; one daughter, Katheryn Evelyn Miller; four sisters; and one brother. Visitations were held from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Friday, May 8th, 2009 at the Pulaski Funeral Home in Somerset, Kentucky. Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 9th, 2009 in the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Butte officiating.
