Bio

Violet L. Tomcak, 83, of Wahoo, formerly of Touhy, died Tuesday, March 8, 2005, at South Haven Care Center in Wahoo. She was born Aug. 3, 1921, in Valparaiso to Fred and Loretta (West) Strizek. She attended country school District 113, north of Valparaiso. She married Andrew Tomcak in 1957 in Wahoo. She lived on a farm near Touhy until 1998, when she moved into Touhy. She became a resident at Haven House in 2003. Survivors include: a son, Marvin Tomcak of Wahoo; and sisters-in-law, Alice Strizek of Valparaiso and Lillian Tomcak of Lincoln. She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers and a sister. The funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Svoboda Funeral Home in Wahoo with the Rev. Max Foster officiating. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Friday with the family present from 6-8 p.m., all at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sunrise Cemetery in Wahoo.
