Bio
Justina Nunnenkamp, the daughter of John H. and Katharina (Ott) Kliewer, was born on a farm south of Henderson, Nebraska on August 16, 1927 and was called home in Aurora, Nebraska on April 20, 2009, at the age of 81. Justina lived south of Henderson with her parents, 8 brothers and 2 sisters. She attended District 31 school south of Henderson for her elementary education. Justina graduated from Henderson High in May 1945. She was baptized on May 20, 1945 at Bethesda Church in Henderson. Justina was confirmed on February 22, 1948 in the Lutheran faith and became a communicant member. After her schooling, she worked as a hired girl for various Henderson families. On September 24, 1946, she was united in marriage to Eugene Nunnenkamp at St. Peters Lutheran Church at Hampton. Justina was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church. She was a member of the Ladies Aide and Lutheran Women's Missionary Society. Justina played volleyball in high school, supported her children's activities in 4-H, racing, trapshooting and hunting. One of her greatest joys in life was riding the Harley with her husband. She was preceded in death by her parents, seven brothers, John, Henry, George, Bert, Frank, Isaac and Abraham Kliewer; two sisters, Suzie Kliewer and Tina Brown; grandsons, Adam and Christopher Nunnenkamp and great-grandson, Tyrell Johnson. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Eugene Nunnenkamp of Aurora; five children, Beverly (Tom) Johnson of Bingham, Nebraska, JoAnn (Walter) Wendt of Aurora, Larry (Jane) Nunnenkamp of Aurora, Don (Sharon) Nunnenkamp of Cotopaxi, Colorado and Randy (Julie) Nunnenkamp of Aurora; 18 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, David J. (Joyce) Kliewer of Aurora; sisters-in-law, Agnes Kliewer and Deloris Kliewer both of Aurora; brothers-in-law, Fred (Laura) Nunnenkamp of Sutton and Harold (Virginia) Nunnenkamp of Aurora; sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Nunnenkamp of Cosby, Missouri, Luetta Nunnenkamp of Henderson, Bernice Trautman of Seward, Leatha (Clyde) Mortenson of Council Bluffs, Iowa and Wilma (Dean) MacDonald of Riverside, California.
