Bio

Laurel Leader Call L.V. Strickland, 92, of Ellisville, died Monday, May 15, 2006, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, at Jones Funeral Home in Ellisville, with burial in Mack Brown Cemetery. The Rev. John Bryant will officiate. He was retired from civil service and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a son, Lloyd Jessie "Billy" Strickland, and parents, William P. and Carrie Robinson Strickland. He is survived by a daughter, Bobbie M. Warren of Mobile, Ala.; a sister, Mae Lois Buckhaults of Ellisville; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday, at Jones Funeral Home in Ellisville, which is in charge of arrangements.
