Bio

ELLISVILLE - Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Jones Funeral Home in Ellisville for Laura Lorene Shoemake, 80, of Ellisville, who died Nov. 24, 2005, at her home. Burial will be in Mack Brown Cemetery. Mrs. Shoemake was retired from Reliance Corp., and Jones County Junior College Student Center and Cafe. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Karen McKenzie of Ellisville and Peggy Key of Laurel; a sister, Mae Lois Buckhaults of Ellisville; a brother, L.V. Strickland of Ellisville; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. today at Jones Funeral Home.
