Bio
Kearney Daily Hub April 18, 1931 Wm. Hoffmann was born in Germany, October 21, 1843. In 1868 he emigrated to this country, settling at first in the city of St. Louis. Two years later he moved to Pekin, Illinois and from there to Buffalo County in 1890, where he resided ever since. In 1873 he was married. His wife preceded him in death by 37 years. Mr. Hoffman died April 12, at the Hastings state hospital, attaining an age of 87 years, 5 months and 21 days leaving behind six children, sixteen grandchildren and four great granchildre. The children are Mrs. Rudolph Ritter, Pleasanton, Nebr.; Mrs. John Thomas, Muskeegan, Mich.; Mrs. Harry Roosh, Gibbon, Nebr.; Julius Hoffman, Ogallala, Nebr.; Otto Hoffman, Gibbon, Nebr.; and Mrs. J. Sloan, Omaha, Nebr. Funeral services were at the Crawford Funeral Home on Tuesday. Burial was at the Dow Cemetery beside William's wife.
