Son of William Toler and Sarah (Grant) Toler. William married Alice C. Dodson in 1881, 1882 or 1883. Alabama state records show varying dates that include: Jan 1, 1881 Dec 1, 1881 Dec 31, 1881 Jan 1, 1882 Jan 31, 1882 Jan 1, 1883 All of which show their marriage occurred in Escambia County, Alabama. After his wife, Alice passed in 1905, census records show that William's mother, Sarah was living with him and his children. 1910 records show he was 51, while his mother, Sarah was 80. In the home were Fletcher, Lee, Arthur, Yancy and Alice (Mamie).
