Bio

HARDIN - Robert L. Watson moved to Hardin in 1937, farmed and worked for Holly Sugar Corp. and Big Horn County. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and running a trap line, and was a member of Senior Citizens. Mr. Watson, 95, died Friday evening in Big Horn County Memorial Nursing Home. Born in Huron, Kan., a son of Mary and H.M. Watson, he attended schools in Joplin, Mo. On Feb. 18, 1905, he married Effie Tally in Unionville, Mo., and they farmed in Missouri, Iowa and Nebraska. She died in 1950. On Aug. 29, 1951, he married Agnes Bullock in Hardin; she died in 1963. Survivors include three sons, Lester of Raymond, Neb., Cecil and William, both of Hardin; a sister, Lena Partin of Stegler, Okla.; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and a great-great grandson. Rosary will be recited 7 p.m. Monday in Bullis Funeral Chapel. Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial in Hardin Cemetery.. The Billings Gazette 6-06-1982
