HARDIN ? Cecil Watson, 91, of Hardin, passed away Thursday, Aug. 19, 2004, in the Big Horn County Memorial Hospital. He was born April 17, 1913, in Macedonia, Iowa, a son of Robert L. and Effie Talley Watson. He went to school for the first eight years at a country school near Lincoln, Neb. Cecil worked as an electrician and carpenter for many years. He assisted in the construction of many building projects in Big Horn, Rosebud and Yellowstone Counties. He married Virginia Bailey on June 6, 1944, and the couple made their home in Hardin. Mrs. Watson passed away in 1985. During his younger years, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and collecting agates. He was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, American Legion, Knights of Columbus and Carpenters Local Union #1172. His parents and wife preceded Cecil in death. Survivors include his son, Thomas and wife Marilyn of Billings; his grandchildren, Tom and Natalie Watson, Jr., Julie and Tim Vallie; his great-grandchildren, Christopher and Tom Watson, III; a sister-in-law, Edith Nordquist; a special friend and caregiver, Connie Lee; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Rosary will be recited 7 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 22, in the Bullis Funeral Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 23, in the St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Hardin Fairview Cemetery. Bullis Mortuary of Hardin has been entrusted with the arrangements.
