Bio

Fred A. Braun, 93, of Belton, died Thursday, March 26, 2009, at his home. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 28, at First Lutheran Church with Pastors Don Vlasak and John Mastrovich officiating. Burial will be at Bartlett Cemetery. Mr. Braun was born in Bartlett, Texas, to the late Adolph Braun and Eliese Braun. He married Johnie Joe Dugger on Oct. 13, 1937. He retired in 1978, after 40 years as an administrator at the U.S. Post Office in Waco. He was preceded in death by his wife, in 2003. Survivors include his son, Richard Braun, of Bluff Dale; daughter, Dianne Rowton, of Belton; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and sister, Edna Knauth, of Bartlett. Memorials may be made to Martha's Kitchen, First Lutheran Church of Temple or to the charity of choice. WT: 3/28/2009
