Bio

Andrew Bodnar died unexpectedly Thursday at his home near Dairy. He was born in Kassa, Czechoslovakia, and came to this country as an infant. In 1913 he moved with his parents to the ranch near Hildebrand. As a young man he worked for different ranchers and loggers in the county. In 1929 he began farming operations for himself on the ranch where the family now lives. In 1954 he married Bessie Kamarad, who survives. Other survivors are a son, John Andrew Bodnar, and two daughters, Mary Anna Bodnar and Helen Kay Bodnar, all of Dairy; sisters, Mathilda Challis, Dairy, and Helen McLane, Klamath Falls; brother, Vince Bodnar, Sprague River; also several nieces and nephews.
