Son of John and Anna Bodner from Czechoslovakia BORN: Leadville, Colorado DIED: Sprague River, Oregon The Rev. Vincent Bodner, Sr., a long-time Sprague River resident, died Saturday in Sprague River. He was born July 6, 1905 in Colorado, to John and Anne Bodner. In 1955, he became a minister of the Assembly of God Church in Beatty. He received his calling in 1947. The Rev. Bodner was raisd in Hildebrand area where his father homesteaded in 1910. He cut timber for the Ewauna Box Co., drove truck for Beck Bros. at Sprague River, worked as a coal miner, gold miner, teamster, cowboy, logger and rancher. He married the former Alfratta Skeen in 1928. The Revs. Bodner and Wiliam A. Rentz were instrumental in constructing the Assembly of God Church in Beatty. He is survived by his son Vince Bodner Jr., Redding, grandchildren Cheryl and Rayson Tupper, both Sprague River, David and Jan Bodner, both Eugene, Mitchell and Debbie Bodner, both Redding; sister Helen McLain, Klamath Falls,; great-grandchildren, Krayton Bodner, Redding, Taylor Tupper, Sprague River, Torina Tupper, Lawrence, Kansas, and Desiree Bodner, Eugene.
