Son of Joseph and Elizabeth (Cox) Shockey OBITUARY : WILLIAM HENRY SHOCKEY, 81, Sparta, died at 4 a.m. Sunday in Sparta Community Hospital He was born Sept. 23, 1882, in Fayette County, the son of Joseph and Elizabeth Cox Shockey. Mr, Shockey had lived in Randolph County for 21 years. He was a member of the Baptist Church. He leaves sons, Joseph Shockey, Laurel, Wash., and Dora Barnes, Ellington, Mo,; a sister, Mary Rosa, and a half-brother, Merritt Jackson, both of Ellington, Mo.; and 17 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Walker Colonial Funeral Home, Sparta. The Rev, J. C. Greer will officiate. Burial will be in Caledonia Cemetery.
