Bio

Glen Kisler Funeral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 15, 1989 at St. John's Lutheran Church at Kronborg. Interment was held in the St. John's Cemetery. OBITUARY: Glen Kisler Glen Edward Kisler, the son of Edward and Florence (Hoffmaster) Kisler, was born at Bededict, Nebraska, on July 1, 1928, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on February 11, 1989, at the age of 60 years, 7 months, and 10 days. He attended Polk schools, and graduated from Polk High School in 1946. Glen served in the United States Navy from 1946 to 1948, serving 18 months in China. On October 25, 1953, he was united in marriage to Lillian Hemmingsen at Kronborg. Glen was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church at Kronborg, joining the church in 1954. He was a scout master in the late 60's and early 70's, and was a charter member of the Marquette Lions Club. He had helped with the summer baseball program in Marquette, and was a past member of the Marquette Fire Department. He had been active in A.A. for the past 8 ½ years. At the time of his death, he was employed at York Manufacturing, Inc. He was preceded in death by his parents. Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife Lillian of Marquette; 2 sons, Jeffrey of Marquette and Michael of Port Hueneme, California; one daughter Amy Larson of Grand Island; 4 sisters, Louise Hack of Aurora, Betty Johnson of Broken Bow, Mary Lou Anderson of St. Paul, and JoAnn Hartley of California. 2 grandsons, Joseph Kisler and Matthew Larson, one granddaughter Megan Kisler, a son-in-law Mark Larson, and a daughter-in-law Bonnie Kisler.
