AURORA — Lillian Kisler, 81, of Aurora passed away on Monday, Dec. 14, 2015, at Memorial Community Care. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at St. John’s Lutheran Church at Kronborg. The Rev. Ben Erzkus will officiate. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery at Kronborg. Lillian Therese Kisler, the daughter of Magnus P. and Emma J.D. (Fogt) Hemmingsen, was born on Feb. 27, 1934, in Kronborg and passed away on Dec. 14, 2015, in Aurora at the age of 81. She grew up in Marquette, where she went to school. Lillian graduated from Marquette High School in 1951. She worked at the State Capitol in Lincoln and at the Cornhusker Ordnance Plant in Grand Island. She was united in marriage to Glen E. Kisler on Oct. 25, 1953, at St. John’s Lutheran Church at Kronborg. Glen and Lillian had three children and lived in the Marquette over 35 years. Lillian worked as a nurse’s aide at Hamilton Manor for 15 years before retiring in 2001. She also worked at the senior center. Glen passed away on Feb. 11, 1989. Lillian was a member St. John’s Lutheran Church at Kronborg and Women of the LCA. Those left to cherish her memory are her three children, Amy Larson of Grand Island, Jeff (Bonnie) Kisler of Marquette and Mike (Sherri) Kisler of Rocky Mount, Mo.; four grandchildren, Joseph (Lindsay) Kisler, Megan Kisler, Matthew Larson and Jared Larson; one great-grandson, Jace Kisler; one sister, Elva McKinney of Euliss, Texas; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; four brothers, Pete, Arnold, Milton and Allen Hemmingsen; and one sister, Eline Lundy.
