Betty J. Johnson, 85, of Broken Bow died Saturday, March 10, 2012, in Kearney. Betty was born July 12, 1926, in Arborville, NE. to Edward and Florence (Hoffmaster) Kisler. On Nov. 27, 1974, she married Allen Johnson. Betty attended school in Polk. She worked in a dry cleaning business in Aurora. Betty was united in marriage to Dean Hansen on March 7, 1945, at Marquette. She was a homemaker and a stay-at-home mom. Betty moved into many communities in Nebraska. After moving to Broken Bow in 1973, she worked as a meat wrapper, cooked at the Elks Club, and was a press operator at Shea's Laundry. On Nov. 27 1974, Betty married Allen R. Johnson at Broken Bow. They lived their 37 years of marriage in Broken Bow. Betty was a member of the Christian Life Center Church in Broken Bow. Betty's hobbies included selling Stanley Home Products, embroidery work, making quilts, puzzles, paint by number, cooking and baking. She also liked to play bingo and Domino's. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, two grandsons, and her brother, Glen Kisler. Survivors are: husband, Allen Johnson; sons, Carl Hansen of Thornton, Colo., and Galen Hansen of Aurora, Colo.; daughter, Janet Kosmicki of Dannebrog; and seven grandchildren; siblings, Mary Lou Anderson of St. Paul, Louise Hack of Aurora and Joann Hartman of California, sister-in-law, Lillian Kisler of Aurora; in-laws, Norman and Wanda Johnson of Callaway, Roger and Donna Johnson of Mason City, Jerry and Wanda Johnson of Aurora, Sharon and Fred Chop of Ravenna and Dianna and David Bridges of Missouri. Burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Callaway, NE. Published in Kearney Hub on March 12, 2012
