Son of Charles Amsberry of Knoxville, Marion County, Iowa and Almyral Ersula Amsberry of Mason County, West Virginia. Husband of Adelia Estella Armstrong (Wood) of Fort Dodge, Webster County, Iowa. "Theodore Claude Amsberry, 58, Melbeta resident, was found dead Wednesday afternoon near a gravel pit a mile east of Melbeta. Death apparently resulted from a heart attack. He is believed to have been dead about 24 hours when the body was discovered by Jack Wheat, Sr. of Melbeta and a companion. Funeral services will take place Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Boley Chapel here. Burial will be in the West Lawn Cemetery. Rev. Oscar W. Low of the Gering Methodist Church will be in charge. Mr. Amsberry has been a resident of Gering and Melbeta for the last six years, coming here from Seneca, Nebraska. He was born at Berwyn, Nebraska, September 7, 1887. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Addie Estella Amsberry, his father, Charles Amsberry of Broken Bow, four step-children, four brothers and two sisters."
