Bio

Wife of R.L. Buck Buchanan Funeral services for Bertha B. Buchanan, 83, Houston, Texas, were held Wednesday morning at the Wagoner First Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Naugher officiating. Interment was in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Mallett Funeral Home. Mrs. Buchanan and her late Husband Ray Buchanan moved to Wagoner from Tulsa in 1964. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wagoner. The past year she resided in Houston, Texas. Survivors include three daughters; Winnie Kinser, Arlington, Texas, Lea Du Boise, Houston, Texas and Dorothy Garrett, Atlanta, Georgia, two stepsons, Joe Buchanan and Eugene Buchanan, Tulsa; one sister Aleena Barrett, California; 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Mr. Buchanan preceded her in death, September, 1987. Pallbearers were Duncan McCoy, George Leake, Eugene Buchanan, Joe Buchanan, David Buchanan, John Buchanan and Douglas Garrett.
