MATHIS - Richard Fredrick Bertram Sr., 63, died Thursday, Nov. 5,1998. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. today in Cenizo Hill Cemetery in Mathis with the Rev. Stanley Nixon officiating. Arrangements are by Dobie Funeral Home of Mathis. Mr. Bertram was born in Elizabeth, La., and lived in Amarillo until three years ago when he moved to Mathis. He retired as construction superintendent for an industrial coal power plant. He was a Baptist. Survivors include his wife, Patricia; a son, Richard F. Bertram Jr. of Amarillo; four daughters, Debra Bertram of Alexandria, La., Jane Kaye Scott of Kingsville, Carrie Lynn Ford of Mathis and Joni Anthony of Clovis, N.M.; his mother, Ouida Bertram of Alexandria, La.; a sister, Wanda Hurst of Elizabeth, LA; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
