Bio

John is the son of Charles F. and Harriet N (Cooper) McKinley - both born in Ohio. He married Mary Louise Murray 29 December 1898 in Perry Iowa. They had three children: Harry Irvin McKinley died at age 10 in 1910 (Graceland Cemetery, Creston IA), Orrel Irene (McKinley) Williams (died in LeHigh Acres FL 1978), and Edith Helen (McKinley) Buck (Cedar Lawn Cemetery Council Bluffs IA 2000). John's younger brother Franklin is buried adjacent to him and older brother Charles is in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Council Bluffs IA. The early photo (probably in 1909) shows John and Mary with their three children - from left are Edith, Mary, Harry, John and Orrel.
