Steve Shavlik Ries at Gregory By Republic News Service GREGORY - Funeral services for Steve S. Shavlik, 55 , Sioux Falls, were July 3 at the Kotrba Funeral Home in Gregory with the Rev. Robert Brown officiating. Services were July 3 at the First Christian Church in Sioux Falls with Dr. G. G. Sias officiating. Interment was in the Black Hills National Cemetery at Sturgis July 7. Honorary escorts included members of the Gregory American Legion 6 and Sioux Falls Masonic bodies. Mr. Shavlik was born Dec. 23, 1913 to Mr. and Mrs. Frank Shavlik at Gregory and died July 1 at. the Gregory hospital. He served in Europe during World War II and had been employed Tri - State Transportation Company in Sioux falls. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 200, Royal Arch Masons, Knights Templar and Elrjad Shrine of Sioux Falls. He had been a Sunday school teacher at First Christian Church. Survivors include his mother: a brother and two sisters. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother.
