The Rock Valley Bee - March 30, 1983 Sarah (Sally) Timmer Sarah (Sally) Timmer, 64, of Rock Valley died Tuesday, March 22, in Hegg Memorial Hospital after a long illness. Services were at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 24, in the Pioneer United Methodist Church. The Rev. Clarence Burns officiated. Burial was in Valley View Cemetery. Visitation was from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, in the Porter Funeral Home. Mrs. Timmer, the former Sarah "Sally" Vander Kooi, was born Nov. 4, 1918, at Hull and graduated from Hull High School. She married Jacob Timmer Nov. 7, 1938, at Hull. They made their home in Rock Valley: Mr. Timmer is associated with Thornburg Co. She was a member of the Pioneer United Methodist Church were she was active in the UMW and the church circle.
