Obit: Mrs. M. Blackburn Mrs. M. Blackburn, 95, a widow, died Sunday at 1:20 PM at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Harold [Hiram] Secrest, 2017 Lamar Ave., where she lived. The funeral, Tuesday at 10 AM will be held at Gene Roden & sons Chapel, by the Rev. W.B. Sullens and the Rev Kirk M. Beard, Methodist Pastors, and Grandsons will be Pallbearers. Burial will be made in Union Grove Cemetery near Reno. The former Miss Samantha Upchurch. Mrs. Blackburn was born in Tennessee, February 13, 1859. Her husband died in 1943 [1941]. Children surviving beside Mrs. Secrest are John W. Blackburn and Clarence Blackburn, Reno Community; Claude Blackburn, Paris, and Mrs. Maude Hendrix, Chillicothe; 19 Grandchildren, 44 Great-Grandchildren and Five Great-Great-Grandchildren; a brother and a sister, P.G. Upchurch and Mrs. J.W. Bybee, Paris, and these half sisters: Mrs. Dora Jones, Corsicana; Mrs. Lucy Martin, Temple; Mrs. Etta McDowell, Amarillo, and Mrs. Josie Moore, Shreveport, LA.
