Sam Houston Beauchamp was born October 9, 1859 in Texas, the fifth of eight known children of William R. Beauchamp and Drucilla Carter Beauchamp. He married Mary Francis Chason in Anderson County, Texas on April 14, 1881. Their known children were James W., Sammie C., Leona, Harrison Albert, Jerome, and Emmit.
