Thanks to contributor #47226369 Published in the Ord Quiz, Ord, Nebraska Mildred M. Boro Ord, Nebraska Resident, 86 Mildred Mae Boro, 86, of Ord, NE, died Sun. Feb. 15, 2009, at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, NE. Mass of Christian Burial was on Fri. Feb. 20 at 10:30 am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Burial was in the Ord Catholic Cemetery. Mildred was born Nov. 6, 1922 in Valley County, Nebraska to John and Anna (Vodehnal) Moudry. She was raised in Ord and graduated from Ord High School in 1940. On Sept. 17, 1946, she was united in marriage to Sylvester “Syl” Boro at Ord. The couple lived their entire married life in Ord. She worked as a secretary at Ord High School and as receptionist at Dr. Buckbee's Optometry. She then went to work for First National Bank in Ord as an officer and teller. She retired in 1984. Her husband died June 30, 1995. She continued to live in her home until moving to Grandview Assisted Living in November of 2008. Survivors include a son and two daughters-in-law, John A. and Sandi Boro of Keizer, OR, and Maureen Boro of Fairmont, MN; two grandchildren, Matt Boro and his wife, Colleen of Eagan, MN and Grant Boro of Salem, OR; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, Dennis Boro, a grandson, Mark Boro, a brother, Bill Moudry and three sisters, Mary Kluna, Emma Pecinovsky and Agnes Rutar.
