Bio

Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Shinn, of DuBois, were honored at dinner October 1 at the Z. C. B. J. hall, on their golden wedding anniversary. One hundred and eight friends and relatives were present. Their four living children are Mrs. John Musil, DuBois; John Shinn, Humboldt; Mrs. Fred Rexroth, Dawson; and Milton Shinn, Pawnee City. They have seven grandchildren. Miss Mary Wokoun was born five miles southwest of Humboldt July 12, 1866, and has continued to live within six miles of her birthplace. Mr. Shinn was born in Kuklik on the Moravian boundary, December 24, 1867, and came to Nebraska in 1874. When Mr and Mrs. Shinn were first married, they went to their farm north of DuBois and for the last half century have continued to live there.
