Groesbeck Journal December 22, 2011 Edition Bessie Lee Thomas, 97, of Shiloh passed away October 19, 2011, in Mexia. Services were 11 a.m. Sat­ur­day, October 22, at Shiloh Baptist Church, with Rev. David Snow and Mr. Neil Bond officiating. In­ter­ment was in the Shiloh Cemetery. Bessie was born January 18, 1914, in Shiloh to Tom and Nora Woods Mc­El­roy. She was a life-long resident of the Shiloh area. She spent her life raising her children and caring for her family. She also loved raising birds. Bes­sie was a member of Shi­loh Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Wal­lace Ainsworth and Jeff Thom­as; children, Marietta Ann Bell and Garland Ains­worth; and siblings. Bessie is survived by six grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Family members served as pallbearers.
