Lena Carter Viklund Jensen, born September 8, 1921 in Glenwood, UT to Leroy and Annie Marie Larsen Carter, twin to Lenna. She passed away peacefully on January 21, 2009 at the home of her daughter Glenna in LaVerkin, UT. Lena was 87 years old. Lena grew up in McCormick, Pleasant Grove, American Fork and Heber City. Graduated from Heber City High School. Married Glenn Ernest Viklund in Salt Lake City Temple; later divorced. Six wonderful children were born of this union. Married Jose "Joe" F. Jensen in Logan Temple on February 14, 1975, bringing an additional three grown children and nine grandchildren to the family whom she loved dearly. Preceded in death by brothers, Orville, Doyle and Harold, and sisters Lenna, Naomi and Della, and husband Joe Jensen. Survived by children Glenna (Bob) Ford, LaVerkin, UT; Neal (Helen) Viklund, Magnolia, TX; Kent (Cindy) Viklund, Payson, UT; Dian (Connie) Skinner, Layton, UT; Victor Lynn (Kathy) Viklund, Raleigh, NC; Kristi Miller, Hollister, CA; Carolyn Larsen, Orem, UT; Beverly (Frank) Copeland, The Village, FL; Mick (Paula) Jensen, Lyman, WY; numerous grandchildren, great-grand-children, and great-great-grand-children; sisters Mildred Olsen Langford, Salt Lake City, UT; and Linda Johnson, American Fork, UT; and brother Junior (Estelle) Carter, Holladay, UT. She was a faithful lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She devoted her life to the church and family. Lena loved gardening, crocheting, crafts, and spending time with family and friends. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 26, 2009 at 2 p.m. in the Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary Chapel, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South). Family and friends may call on Sunday from 6-8 p.m. and on Monday one hour prior to the services at the same location.
