Obituary: Azle—Mary Ruth Zaidle Blalock, 74, of Springtown, died Wednesday, October 29, 1997, in the Harris Methodist Hospital of Azle. Born on June 7, 1923, in Toto, she was a lifelong resident of Parker County. Mrs. Blalock was a homemaker, had worked as a florist and had owned her own florist Company, the Weed Patch. She had also helped other local florists as well. She was a member of the Community Bible Fellowship Church in Reno and a member of the Senior Citizen Center. Mary "Nanny" will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51-yeara, Edward "Eddie" Joseph Zaidle, in 1992. Survivors include her husband, R D "Bob: Blalock of Springtown; three sons, Dale Zaidle of Mineral Wells, Don and wife Barbara Zaidle of Boonesville and Les and wife Lee Blalock of Odessa; three daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Lonnie Chesney and Sonnie and Jack Simmons, all of Springtown and Judy and Mike Parch of Kentucky; 19 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren,; numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.
