Bio

Funeral services for Jason Nowlin, age 90, were held Thursday, August 12, 1982, at 4 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Colmesneil. Rev. James Best and Rev. J. T. Riley officiated at the services with burial in Bethany Cemetery. Mr. Nowlin passed away Tuesday, 10 p.m. in Woodville Convalescent Center. He was a native and lifelong resident of Colmesneil and a retired logger. Survivors include his wife, Ora Stewart Nowlin of Colmesneil; two sons, Billy Nowlin of Spurger, and Glenn Nowlin of Ft. Worth; two daughters, Joyce Comte of Colmesneil and Melva Jo Davis of Livingston; two brothers, Pat Nowlin of Warren and Bowman Nowlin of Pt. Neches; one sister, Myrtle Belcher of Houston; 18 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Robert Comte, Mark Nowlin, Jason Nowlin, Jr., Choya Davis, Chris Davis, and Randy Nowlin.
