Bio

Robert Homer Carter, son of John and Martha Ann Carter, was born March 17, 1887, and departed this life, Feb. 21, 1954, at the age of 66 years, 11 months and 9 days. Ile was united in marriage to Victoria Dunaway, July 8th, 1933, and to this union one daughter was born. His survivors include his wife, Victoria, and one daughter, Robbie Ann of the home, and two children by a previous marriage, one son, R. M. Carter, Tulsa, Oklahoma, and one daughter, Mrs. Corliss Laisure, Laura, Illinois. Also one brother, James W. Carter, Petroleum, Ind. and six grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by those who knew him. Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 23, at 2:00 p. m. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, with Rev. G. E. Rittenhouse officiating. Burial was in the Lilly Ridge cemetery under| direction of the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home of Gainesville
