Bio

Jessie Irene Laisure, 93, passed away Saturday, April 21, 2001, at Bel-Wood Nursing Home in Peoria County. Born Aug. 10, 1907, in Wells County, Ind., to Robert Homer and Viola Bouse Carter, she married Corliss E. Laisure on Jan. 30, 1926, in Berne, Ind. He preceded her in death. She also was preceded in death by two brothers. Surviving are two sons, Robert (and Shirley) Laisure and Corliss Laisure; and two daughters, Permilla (and Robert) Johnson and Patricia Emerick. She and her husband owned and operated the Phillips 66 station in Laura. Burial will be at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria. Full obit in the Peoria Journal Star - Apr. 22, 2001.
