Chico Record (Chico, California) 28 Aug 1925, Friday Page 2: Katie Graef Dies At Chico Vecino Home. Mrs. Katie Grafe, 59, died at 11 o'clock yesterday morning at her home, Fourth avenue and North Hazel street, following a long illness. The deceased had been a resident of Chico for the past two years, and had spent sixteen years of her life in California. She came to the state from Nebraska, where she was reared. She is survived by the widower, William Grafe of Chico, and he following sons and daughters: William Grafe of Oroville, Mrs. T.A. Powning of Loyalton, Frank Grafe of Chico, Mrs. M.W. Coombs of Redondo, Mrs. E. Waterman of Susanville, C.E. Grafe of Oroville, Mrs. F.W. Walsh of Fresno, Miss Agnes Grafe of Susanville, Miss Julia Grafe of Chico, and Mrs. H. Pearl of Woodland. Funeral arrangements, which are under the direction of Westfall Funeral Home, have not been made public.
