Weir, 39, of 1510 Second Ave. North in Texas City, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Emken-Linton Funeral Home in Texas City. Burial will follow services at Bald Prairie Cemetery in Bald Prairie, Texas, under the direction of Emken-Linton Funeral Home. Services will also be 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Bald Prairie Church of Christ in Bald Prairie. Born April 16, 1931, in Bald Ridge[Bald Prairie], Mr. Weir died Sunday at morning at Danforth-Memorial Hospital. Mr. Weir was a captain for the Texas City Fire Department, was a member of the Church of Christ and served in the military. Survivors include his wife, Janice Weir of Texas City, one son, James Weir of Texas City, two brothers, Nolan Weir of Houston and Harold D. Weir of Texas City; and a half-sister, Helen Patrnyk of San Angelo, Texas. Visitors may call after noon today at Emken-Linton Funeral Home."
