Bio
Beloved husband, father and grandfather, went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ December 15, 2008. Calvin was born May 30, 1924 in McKinney, TX. He graduated from Princeton High School in McKinney. He served in the 18th U.S. Naval Construction Battalion during WWII. On December 14, 1946 he married Christal Lorene Norris. They were married for sixty-two years. Calvin loved to work in his yard, walk his dogs and play dominoes. He was a member of Cockrell Hill Road Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sallie and Robert Trammell, brothers, Alton and Choice Trammell; sisters Feblee Pruitt, Pathie Williamson, and Wanda Lepeard. Calvin is survived by wife, Christal Lorene (Norris) Trammell; daughter, Peggy Philen of Arlington; son, Dwayne Trammell and wife Deborah of Plano; daughter, Gaylia Polk and husband Gary of Amarillo. In addition he is survived by nine grandchildren: Robyn Shepheard and husband Steve, Greg Trammell and wife Ashley, Zach Trammell, Casey Trammell, Whitney Trammell and Colby Trammell, Matthew Polk and wife Kristen, Andrew Polk and Sally Polk; 5 great grandchildren: Lauren, Hillary and Megan Shepheard, Nathanael and Abigail Polk. Service will be held at 3:30PM, Saturday, December 20 at Restland Memorial Chapel with Rev. Ed Cole and Les Grantham officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to service.
