Bio

Published November 1, 1967 in the Douglas Dispatch, Douglas, Arizona. Marion A. Fairchild, Double Adobe, died at 9 a.m. today at the Cochise County Hospital. He was 77. Mr. Fairchild was born in Fredericksburg, Texas, April 6, 1890. He moved to Arizona in 1920, and in May of 1921 he married Miss Florence McDonald. He and Mrs. Fairchild ranched in the Cottonwood area east of Douglas until 1957 when they retired, selling their ranch and moving to Double Adobe. He was a member of Sunnyside Baptist Church. Mr. Fairchild is survived by his wife; two sons, Marion Jr. and George Truett Fairchild, both of Double Adobe; two grandchildren; four brothers: Marley, Gatesville, Texas; Garfield, Dilley, Texas; Harvey, Poteet, Texas; and Swift, Betiton Provided by: Candace Young-Mayo
