ALEXANDRIA DAILY TOWN TALK - NOVEMBER 16, 1970; A-2 ALFRED LEE ASHLEY Alfred Lee Ashley, 73, died at 4.25PM Saturday in a hospital here. He was a native of Alexandria and a resident of Pineville. He was a veteran of World War I and was a retired painter. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Yvonne Bonds of Pineville, Mrs. Brooksie Ann Jeansonne of Alexandria; three sisters, Mrs. Bertha Cupp of Pinevllle, Mrs. Ethel Goff of Pine Bluff, Ark., Mrs. Leona Davis of Vicksburg, Miss., and nine granchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 am in the chapel of Hixson Bros. funeral home. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Pineville.
