Married Evelyn Sarah Allen, 1937, Pleasanton, Texas. She was the daughter of George Washington [1890-1961] & Bertha (Wright) [1895-1987] Allen. Mr. & Mrs. Dan L. Russell celebrated their golden wedding anniversary at a luncheon held at Friedhelm's Bavarian Inn. Hosting the occasion were the couple's three children. They are Andrew Milo Russell, a professor of music at the University of Texas at Arlington; Joyce Emily Smith [Mrs. John], a certified teacher and co-owner of Smith, Inc., a construction firm in McAllen, Texas; and Evelyn Danelle Schultz [Mrs. George], a bookkeeper and co-owner of Schultz & Associates, Inc., a management consulting firm in New Braunfels, Texas. Mr. Russell is a son of Mr. & Mrs. Milo [Dora] Russell of Edinburg, Texas. She is the former Evelyn Sarah Allen, a daughter of Mr. & Mrs. George Allen of Pleasanton, Texas. Prior to moving here [Fredericksburg, Texas] Mr. Russell owned several service stations and Mrs. Russell was the librarian at Pan American College in Edinburg, Texas. They have seven grandchildren and are awaiting the birth of their first great-grandchild this summer.
